To Smell Happiness Once More

When there is a void
In my future
And neither friends
Nor love
Nor joyful songs
Can brighten my day

When sadness fills my heart
Kicking out of it family
And the beauty
Of nature
And perhaps
Even Jesus

When I want
More than anything
For this bitter life
To leave me
And forget me
And never come back

There’s only one thing to do
To smile again
And to jump
And to dance
And smell happiness
And just believe in good

One thing indeed:
To think of you, happy,
Such as you are.
So sweetness of life
Please don’t cry
Because that breaks my heart
