White Sky

What are the clouds
But a subtle vapor
Floating ever so gracefully
On the indivisible sky

What are they
But spray paintings
So cleverly imposed
Onto a boundless canvas

What are they
But background decorations
That make the tiny creatures below
Seem purposeful and important

Maybe, they’re not vapor
But lost wishes and hope
And hidden feelings
Escaping the pressure below

Maybe, they’re God’s finger paintings
Imperfect but innocent
Showing us the way
To His grace above

Or maybe, their souls move them
To the beat of the cosmic music
And as they tap their feet with happiness
We simply fall off their shoes
