My Father:
You who live high above in Heaven
But as my loving parent
Stooped down to my home on Earth
And scooted to answer my prayers
When I thought you had forgotten me
You opened my eyes to the splendor
Of your unending love and tender care
When I feared you had left me here
You shook the Earth to show me you were near
When I was lost, tired, and dying in the dust
You sent your Holy Spirit to fill me with life
You healed my wounds, and gave me hope
And when the road seemed too long
When all seemed lost and I felt so alone
You sent me an angel, your daughter,
To hold my hand in the saddest days
To love me unconditionally and unequivocally
To keep me always in the path you drew
For me to follow until my journey ends
And for this, I give you thanks
And promise to love you, and to love her
My lord, until the end of days.
