I’m interested in systems people can understand, maintain, and make their own.
Over two decades I have built enterprise data warehouses, business intelligence systems, knowledge bases, and integrations for healthcare, research, and industry. At the University of Michigan I lead the architecture for mobile and wearable research data and co-authored research on cleaning Fitbit sleep data. Earlier work includes Snowflake datasets and dashboards at NSF, Oracle and Tableau analytics at Priority Health, and middleware connecting Dynamics AX to automotive manufacturers at Dominion Dealer Solutions.
I write in English and Spanish. The Writing section holds blog posts and poetry going back to the late 1990s.
