Within

Tell me, Lord of Salvation
Is it sinning to love
To still live in a dream
After billions of agonizing seconds?

Has it become an obsession
Have I sinned by desiring her
By not letting go of what once was
But is no longer substantial?

Remind me, my powerful Lord
When did that past life end?
When did all the love die?
When was I to awake?

This life is dead, mighty Lord
For her whereabouts are foreign
While my dreams stay on
What a sin, what a shame!

Punish me, o Lord
For I've sinned
I have ended my life
And have died in this dream!

Forgive me, my Lord,
For this love sickens me
And I'm worried of loving too much
Of loving her far more than Thyself!

Is it acceptable, Lord
To love her eternally
And entirely, only her
No one else, no other hearts?

Guide me, give me light!
Take her out of my heart
Or rid my mind of her charms
For else I won't be myself!

Take this love away, Lord!
It's only a weight that buries me
That torments me . . .
That keeps me from loving again.

Toss it, delete it, vanish this love!
Just let me be able to enjoy life again
To forget her at once
And to gain back my dignity, Lord.
