I provide architecture leadership and technical consulting for mobile research data, enterprise databases, research tools, AI-enabled knowledge indexing, and automation. I partner with investigators, faculty, institutional IT teams, and vendors to translate research and business needs into reusable systems.
Architecture and institutional leadership
- Lead architecture and database design for a common data model supporting mobile, wearable, and sensor data, including Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), and EMA surveys.

Selected accomplishments
- Served as architect for a reusable institutional mobile data pipeline that HITS built, piloted, and used to onboard three longitudinal, international studies; continued as a technical consultant and troubleshooting resource for the implementation team.
- Led three five-member student teams delivering research and operational applications, including TrackMaster, a research-center membership and CRM system, and MiNap, an Apple Watch sleep-diary app. Initiated TrackMaster and oversaw requirements, implementation review, documentation, code publication, and staff training, designing it for reuse by other university centers.
- Developed more than 60 automations, 40 SharePoint interface components, and five API integrations using Power Automate, PowerShell, Pentaho, iPaaS, JSON, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Established a health research knowledge base and authored more than 100 articles, with resources receiving over 500,000 views annually. Articles and code reached users in 188 countries.
- Developed Fitbit sleep-data automation in Power Automate and Power Query used by more than 15 research studies at multiple universities; co-authored a 2025 publication in SLEEP describing the methods and research considerations.
- Implemented enterprise SMS tools for research in collaboration with HITS and ITS leadership.
- Authored Extractium™, an open-source knowledge-indexing tool that gathers organizational content and prepares portable outputs for keyword search, semantic search, and use by AI assistants.
