The work

Through Infinimight LLC, and later as an independent senior software developer, I provided software architecture, integration, analytics, and modernization services. The consulting business covered database design, data migration, software and integration development, Windows server support, and software license compliance auditing, along with website and content-management work for Calvin College and the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship.

Selected results

For Atos and John Deere I designed and developed a WCF middleware appliance prototype that connected headquarters XML and SOAP services through Azure to dealership management systems, together with a WPF emulator for integration testing. I developed the C# and batch-script automation behind a financial-document modernization project that migrated ten billion documents into IBM Content Manager OnDemand. For Spectrum Health (now Corewell Health) I integrated the Lawson and purchasing systems with CA asset and software compliance platforms, automating purchasing-data imports and license reconciliation. In 2014 I audited information systems and PCI DSS controls at Meijer, identifying compliance issues that helped the organization avoid more than twenty-five thousand dollars in potential fines.
