The work
At Priority Health I developed population health analytics and decision-support tools for healthcare quality improvement and cost-of-care initiatives. I designed advanced Oracle PL/SQL queries and population health extracts that identified patients who could benefit from targeted interventions, and translated healthcare and insurance data into reporting used to assess quality, intervention opportunities, and financial performance.
Outcomes
An asthma population health extract I developed for the national Green & Healthy Homes Initiative contributed to improved outcomes and a 25 percent reduction in the cost of care for the target population. The hospital readmission dashboards I built and automated with Oracle, Tableau, and SAP BusinessObjects helped hospitals avoid more than five million dollars in federal readmission penalties.
