Hooray! I may soon be getting the coolest, most exciting, extremely challenging and just plain fun job: a programmer/analyst position in a data warehouse team! This job is amazing in that it would allow me to work with development, databases and security all at the same time. And the best part is that I will be playing with our massive databases -- everything from patient data, to financial records, identity information and strategic data.
The Data Warehouse - Dimensional Modeling
Since life is never quite fair, however, the department's decision to bring me into their team came at a very bad time. It turns out that all new positions have been frozen indefinitely. So until then, the department cannot officially offer me a job. As soon as the freeze is over, I have a very good chance of getting this dream job though.
So all I can do for now, challenging my 0-to-1-seconds patience span, is wait. Ahhh....
